Just found out my lanlord is in foreclosure what do i do?
he has been charging me rent and late charges the whole time.
i found out when a for sale sign appeared in the yard yesterday.
after asking him he said he hasn't paid mortgage for five months
live in los angeles county ca.
DONT MAKE ANY MORE RENT PAYMENTS TO THE LANDLORD MAKE THEM TO THE HOUSING COURTS. CALL YOUR LOCAL COURT AND SEE WHAT YOUR OPTIONS ARE .. BUT TO PAY THAT BASTARD .. SHAME ON HIM FOR NOT TELLING YOU.
you MUST CONTINUE TO PAY BUT WHY FATTEN HIS POCKETS IF HE NEVER HAD THE DECENT CY TO LET YOU KNOW THE PROPERTY COULD BE FOR CLOSED.
FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE HOUSING COURT AND CONTINUE TO PAY RENT TO THEM SO YOU DONT FACE EVICTION TO FILE IS LIKE 15 BUCKS HERE .. I DONT KNOW HOW THINGS WORK WERE YOU ARE
WHILE YOU ARE AT IT START LOOKING FOR OTHER OPTIONS.. IF THE BANK TAKES IT OVER YOU WILL BE THROWN OUT
ALSO SEE IF YOU CAN BUY IT YOURSELF .. YOU MAYBE ABLE TO GET A GOOD DEAL.. CALL THE COUNTY TAX ASSESSORS OFFICE OR GO ON LINE TO SEE WHAT BANK HAS A LIEN ON THE PROPERTY .. THAT IS WHO THE MORTGAGE IS BEING PAID TO CONTACT THE BANK AND SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE A DEAL.
ill take it straight with no ice
get packing. mortgage is his business, but new owner may throw u out.

It's not your problem. If you paid your rent then that is all that matters. Somebody else will buy the place. Either your lease will transfer to the new owners automatically or the new owners will offe r you a new lease depending on what the laws are in your state. This is your landlord's problem, not your problem.

About the best thing you can do now is find another place to live. There is not a whole lot you can do to the land lord.
I hope his has been of some use to you, good luck.

Your screwed. Better find a place to live ASAP or you'll be living in the street with none of your stuff. They will lock the doors and if you go in after that your stealing even tho its your own stuff.

Depends, do you have a lease? Is it yearly or month to month? And is your rent paid to date now?
If the bank manages to sell the house, the buyer will have to honor your lease (if you have one). Keep your eye on your mailbox for notification of where to send your rent to and do not give your landlord any money without signed receipts (canceled checks work too).
Good luck

Prepare to move, if the mortgage foreclose on the property you will more than likely be "put-out." The mortgage payments is the landlords responsibility.
