I would contact them to make sure they received it, however if they haven't already, they would most certainly be contacting you. I wouldn't be worried about it if you KNOW they got it. If you're worried about it not clearing the account, then i would start paying in money order or certified check. |

Nothing to worry about, he can take as long as he wants.
If you're concerned about spending money if it's in your account, see if your bank has online banking and electronic checks. I send my rent (and all my bills) through Bank of America and it deducts the money immediately. |

my land lord always took a long time to deposit my check so i started getting cashiers checks instead... i was paid every 2 weeks so i would do have a cashier check and another half and give them on rent day... plus sincei was with my bank a long time they did not charge me for cashiers checks |

No. They just haven't gone to the bank yet. Maybe on vacation or something.
Call them if you are worried about it, to make sure they received your check. |

before we bought our house our landlord would do that all the time it would mess with me balancing my books something chronic some times he'd wait till the end of the month just remember to deduct it from what you have in the bank and dont worry about it. You could always call and ask him |

George, just make sure you don't spend the money elsewhere. I would call them to make sure they have it before they send you a penalty notice. Maybe the check was misplaced by them. I would give them a call. |

Not at all. My mothers landlord doesn't cash her check for over a month sometimes! |

If you know for sure they received it, I wouldn't worry. I only deposited checks once a month and if a check came in right after a deposit, it waited until the next month. |

no cause for alarm or concern.
my landlord sometimes takes more than 30 days to deposit my rent check.
if you want, you could call him and ask if he has deposited it yet, because it is not showing up on your electronic statement.
but , really, no cause for alarm...he is probably just busy.
good luck :) |

Believe me ALL landlords do this...i once had a check deposited at the same time i paid the following months rent. Talk about "wtf", so don't worry. Just don't spend that money, but you seem responsible enough not to. |
