Landlord help!?
Can my landlord get an emergancy court order to evict me and my partner before our tenancy ends?
Additional Details
in the uk!

They can, but there would have to be a very good reason. Such as illegal or dangerous activity that could cause immediate harm to other tenants or the property. If it is just a fact of non-payment of rent they would probably go through the regular process.

Carli W
It depends on the terms of your lease, and if you are violating them. Evictions are long and expensive and generally speaking landlords won't go to the trouble unless they have to. As for emergency hearings unless your running a meth lab or doing somthing that endageres the entire community the court won't do an emergency hearing, in fact unless your contesting an eviction there are rarley court apperances at all.

Yes you can get evicted before your lease ends. Check your state laws they vary greatly and check your lease. There are many reasons for eviction and some take longer than others.

klbythebay@sbcglobal.net
Depends on state/county but yes most likely if you have not paid and/or are a nuissance.

Tenancy ends ?------is this established in a lease agreement or just a rental agreement.

If there exist a time period over which your arrangement has been cast then that is a factor but that too can be overridden should there be an emergency condition warranting action.

Any agreement verbal or written should mention details and outline behaior that will not be tolereated--constitute a breach, and immediate vacating the premises.

depends on if you were breaking the rules or contract in anyway. I had tennants once who had the police called on them 3 times in a month so I got them evicted...so YES he can.

Chi Bears #1
depends, did you break the lease agreement somehow??

He/she can start the eviction process but there is a time table of sort for that. I would think the Landlord would have to provide evidence that you and your partner were either seriously damaging the building or putting other tenants in danger. Then landlord tenant law varies from state to state. I would get an attorney right away.

xtowgrunt
Without knowing the specifics of why he feels the need to evict you, I would have to say yes.

Depends on the circumstances. Are you not allowing the landlord access to the property to make repairs? That is the only reason I can think of.
