most state tenant laws have a provision that the landlord can request and the tenant can offer an alternative. You should notify him in writing.....w/ the alternate date and/or time. |

No, you do not have that right. You DO have the right to take off from work and be present when the inspection is made, but the landlord is under no obligation to schedule such an inspection to comply with YOUR schedule. You can refuse the inspection, but do not be surprised if you receive a termination of tenancy notice due to same. |

Four days is good notice. Legally they can enter with 24 hours notice and it doesn't matter if you are there or not. You can not refuse entry. If you can't be there yourself and have concerns. make arrangements to have a friend be there. |

it is a nice way of saying clean up and make sure nothing illegal is left out in plain view.
notified property inspection is a standard clause in most properties nationwide.

The landlord has the right to enter the apartment because they gave you sufficient notice. However, you can request a time that works for both of you. Just let them know that you have issues you want to bring to their attention. Most landlords are very understanding. |
