Living in a council house i pay full rent. can anyone live with you? ie; boyfriend?
i believe they are allowed 3 days /week then the full council tax becomes due.you may have also (in the small print) agreed to be the sole tenant.
check with citizens advice.
Classy Granny
Council house or private landlord you can't move a boyfriend in or anyone else without the landlords consent. There is usually a rent increase due to added wear and tear and any utilities they pay for.
Pooh Bear
Not without informing the authority from which you rent the house.
They come down like a house of bricks on people who let other people live there without adjustment in rent and tax.

As long as your not claiming any benefits for housing that's fine. I don't think you even have to tell them who's living there but i'd check that. You'll be on single persons council tax though and get a 25% discount so that'll go up!
buildypuss
yes not for three days at a time I think, they must be out by then for a number of days maybe three! otherwise full rent and full poll tax comes in, all it takes is someone to land you in it!

yeah of corse i think you have to let the council know, if your paying full rent, theres not a problem

They can but your Council Tax will go up for having him there. It's part of being in rip off Britain.
