i have just found out i am pregnant so me and my boyfriend are moving in together but we have a low income i am on 120 pound a month because i am doin a course and my boyfriend is on 290 a week the places to rent are like 500 a month do you know if we can claim anything to help us with the rent and things thanks

No,I know couples in the same situation,the husband/boyfriend just works 70-90 hours a week and the mother part-time,and they are still struggling!
Another friend has decided to stay living alone cos she'd be better off-it's all wrong!

yes definately. you should be entitled to houseing benefit, which helps towards your rent. and as he is working full time, he will be able to get working tax and once you have had the baby you will get child tax credits and child benefit. get yourself down to the sozial, the sooner the better. you can also check it out on the HM revenue website of what you are entitled to.

all depends,u are entitled to family tax when the bub comes along,its prob best u ring inland revenue to ask or go on there site as this will help u get to know what u need too,but when baby is here u do get child benefit,jus call and ask them they will point u in the right direction.congrats on the bub its all exicitng,i jus had my boy 2months ago,you will love it and the pain is worth it!!!good luck x

Hi, I work for housing benefits, check out the link below, put in all your details and it will tell you if you qualify, doesn't matter that its for another council, the benefit rules are set by central govermant so they will be the same
You can also claim for Working Tax Credit you should qualify for some help there, then when baby is orn you will also be able to claim Child Tax Credit
