They may. They do advise that you try to pay what you can. Go to HopeNow.com. They have more info there and you can ask Q's and get some better ideas on what you can do. |

I would see if you can qualify for bankruptcy. A lawyer will often give you a free consultation and even put you into a debt consolidation program. You dont have much time to act, 6 months is pretty far but he can also possibly negotiate deffered payments. Ask the advice of a attorney. |

there are a few programs out there, but depending on what state you are in, the way each works may differ.
There is the FHA Secure program which many people are referring to. it can help some homeowners, under certain circumstances.
You have to meet the program's qualifications to be eligible to participate in this refinancing program. Go to www.hud.gov, and search for FHA Secure to get the guidelines.

Has your bank moved to foreclose on your home? 6 payments is a lot to be behind. . . .why haven't you been paying, if not all the payment, part of it? Paying nothing every month for 6 months has dug you a BIG hole. Not enough information to advise you. TALK to your lender. Find out what options you have with lender--NOW. |

can i just suggest that you keep in contact with your mortgage company and tell them you're having financial difficulty, if you ignore them, they will evict you and you'll lose your house! if you tell them you can't afford it, they have to deal with it and take whatever you can afford. ok you'll be owing more in the long term, but at least you stand a better chance of keeping your house... i dont kno about the government, in my experience ( i held down 3 jobs to keep my repayments up to date, 85 hour weeks, owch) they didn't help me one bit. i am very bitter about the government and feel the only way to do well is to leave school and breed.

you're 6 payments behind? it might already be too late. i'm very surprised that your bank has not already started foreclosure proceedings. don't worry about any government programs. it's far too late for that. you already have a 180 day delinquincy on your credit reports. you need to be talking to your lender and working something out. there is a very good chance that you are going to lose your home. |
