Moving out of parents house.?
I am 24 in part time eduction to get the qualifications i need to get a job coz i left school when i was 14 due to bullying. I live in the uk.

do you guys have any advice for someone looking to move out of their parents house? not too sure where to start or what to expect or what type of job i would need to get enough money to make ends meet or even how long it would take before i could move out but the sooner the better because i am not happy at home living with my parents. My mum and i dont always see eye to eye and this some times causes conflict my dads hardly at home but i get on with him but still i would like and need a life of my own but dont know where to start. I think college was a good first step i took up computing. In september i will take up European Computer Driving Licence in hope that it will get me in to some sort of computer related work.

Look at you bills you would have for a start
rent £
water £
gas £
electric £
council tax £
TV licence £
Insurances £
food shopping £
fags £
drink £
going out £
car expense or travel costs £
there are more things like sky, phone and broadband costs but you may not want these now look for jobs that will pay all these in a month and still leave you something left over for savings, clothes, holidays etc
If I was you I would grin and take it and stay with mum and dad
good luck whatever you decide

Buying your own place is obviously very expensive and even renting can cost a lot more than you think. Like other answers, there are a lot of bills you probably won't even think about whilst living with your parents. the last thing you wnat is to put down a deposit on somewhere and then find you can't pay the monthly rent and bills - you'll be evicted, lose your deposit and possibly get a bad credit rating. You may even have to move back in with your parents - if you are desperate to move out then it will be even harder to move back in.

One way to 'test the water' without the risk is to go for a flatshare or house share. You can use any number of websites to find people offering flatshares in your area. Most will not only show all the details of the property and room being offered, they will also show a profile of the person offering the flatshare. So you can even look for someone with your lifestyle, likes an dislikes before you even pick up the phone.

Flatshares also let you try out an area before you commit to getting your own place there - you might like the idea of a city centre apartment then hate it when you give it a go - flatshares allow the freedom to move on easily.

You should of course be careful when selecting a flatshare, take someone along when you view and make sure you will be happy sharing with the person.

Most of the big property portals offer flatshares these days. Try http://www.fish4.co.uk/iad/lettings or
http://www.uk-property-search.co.uk/flatshare_houseshare_uk.php

Good luck ... and involve your parents - they've been through all this themselves!

The rule when I grew up was 18 out of high school out of the house. The only stipulation was that we had to have $2,000.00 in the bank first ?? ya does not make sense.. I do know in the US 2k did not go very far. One thing we all did was buy furniture and dishes and misc things and stored them until we moved out. My honest advice after looking back on it many years latter I wish I would of stayed home and saved saved saved money for first house or something like that. But did not have much of a choice at the time. Good luck with the endeavor.

Go to your local citizens advice bureau, they are always very helpful. They will show you what kinds of help you're entitled to, although it probably won't be very much, because you're a single young adult. Sometimes there's people out there looking for a roomie, and that might also be an option for you. Because you are taking a course, you might be entitled to some attendancy bursaries, such as ema, but again, you'd have to find out at the citizens advice bureau. Good luck! - Let us know how it goes or what you decide.

Look for someone who needs a roommate.

You may find that the college can give advice. You will probably need to rent a room. The cost will depend on the area and what is included in the rent

Hi there. I have been working at home earning more just for a few hours per week than I ever could make in the corporate sector whcih allows me more time to spend with my daughter.

The company that I work for was voted No.1 by Which? Consumer Magazine and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

If you are interested in this sort of thing then take a look at

www.MyOpportunity.Co.UK

I hope that this helps, if you have any questions then please feel free to e-mail me WKeeble78@aol.com

with most renting companies you need to be earning atleast £18,000 a year to qualify.
you will also need a deposit of around £1000 when you move in to the property and that's not before putting down a down payment to secure the place. your best option would probably be to find a shared accommodation perhaps a room in a house.
good luck

who ever gave me a thumbs down i know what im talking about my partner is an estate agent
