Get your stuff out of your house. It will not be your house after the public auction.

Biggie @ Arbor Mortgage
Pack your things & get out by the 15th! Put them in storage or store them @ a friends home.

Good luck

No brainer here, move your stuff out. You don't want the house, you can't use it for storage.

Your stuff will be the new owners after the 15th... better pack it up and move on. Though I do feel bad for your situation.

Sounds like you’ve got a week to get your stuff out.

Depending on where you're located, yes. You could come home and find yourself locked out. Or you could find all your possessions on the curb.

Get all the stuff out of there before the 15th.

If your house were in Texas, the process of foreclosure involves: auctioning the house, and then evicting the current tenant through the court system. The eviction usually happens within a month of the auction. Depending on who buys the house, is when you will ultimately be forced to move. Typically, the constable serves the paperwork showing the judgment for eviction, then has your stuff carted to the curb for trash / haul off. I have heard of some people staying in a foreclosed house for several months, but can't verify that... these stories where from out of state foreclosures, it all depends on what state you live in, and even how busy your county constable or law enforcement is....

You will be contacted in person by a deputy (sheriff) of the court telling you when you have to be out. That can be anywhere from 30 days to 6 months depending on where you live. I would recommend calling the court and asking there procedures for houses sold at auction.

Are you talking about the sheriff sale? If so, you will have at least 6 months before you have to move. Here is the law, after the sheriff sale, you have six months to redeem the property if you can. At the end of that time, someone will come to your home and tell you exactly when you have to be out. I suggest you make plans now for where you will go and begin packing what you don't need to use. In other words, get ready. And don't worry about making any kind of payment on that mortgage. If you maintain the house, take care of it, some lenders may even give you some money at the end. Not much, but some. It does them no good to take a property in bad condition. I know this is stressful, I understand that it's hurtful and all you want to do is cry. But I can tell you that even the most financially secure people are in the same boat. I'm losing my house to sheriff sale on Oct 22nd. I'm a Realtor, this is fair? I can't file unemployment because my business tanked! I had no choices, because most employers won't hire Realtors. Even a headhunter said they round file any resumes that come in from Realtors. So I'm between a rock and a hard place. I have a small appraisal business that helps support us, but not enough to pay all the bills. My hope is to get a night time job that will supplement enough to provide us some stability for the future rent we most likely will have to pay. I send big hugs. I do understand and empathize.
