If the house is solid, I would buy it, |

Yes. The fact that a person committed suicide in the house is of no consequence. Once you move in, your positive spirit will overcome any uneasiness you feel knowing that someone died there.
Congratulations on the home purchase. |

I would buy it, and have the house blessed by my minister. I have put holy oil on the front and back door of my house in the sign of the cross. I have some friends who lived in a house that the gentleman before them committed suicide because his wife left him and took their child. And my friends lived in the house for quite a few years, never had any problems. I had one in a house that was 120 years old, he like to play jokes on me, turning lights on and off, turning the alarm clock on and off. I made friends with him, don't know who he was, or why he couldn't pass on to the next dimension, but I talked to him, made friends with him. I know I sound like a freak-show when I say that, but it was true, my best friend didn't believe me until she actually saw the things herself. We joke about "my ghost" all the time. I just made him feel like he was part of the family. |

If the house "rang your bell" and it is everything that you want in a home ... and you aren't bothered by the history, buy it. Finding the "perfect" home often isn't easy, so when you find it, you need to jump! If, on the other hand, you're going to worry about "ghosts" haunting the home, you'll never enjoy it. It certainly sounds like you like the house and don't have problems with spirits. Enjoy the house and forget about the history. |

You need to ask yourself "If I didn't know the history would I still buy it?" Most people have no idea what has happened in a house there about to by. If it was me I wouldn't let it get to me. |

It wouldn't bother me. I once lived in a house that was over 150 years old, who knows what could have happened in it!
Only you know if it is something that would trouble you or not. |

Yes, if it is everything you have been asking for go ahead and buy it!
You say you are a Christian, this might be God's answer to your prayers, it happened to us 6yrs ago.
You could ask your pastor to come and bless the house that is what we did because we knew that the children of the previous owner were deeply involved in witchcraft.
You can also do it yourself, just get some annointing oil and put it over every entrance of your house after you cast them demons out.
God bless you in your decision!!! |

I am facing the same decision. I looked at a house today and couldn't figure out why it had a big section of carpet cut and removed. And the realtor said it wasn't a foreclosure but it was owned by the bank.
It was quite a mystery until a neighbor who had lived next door for 46 years approached us and when asked what happened to the previous owner he told us she took her own life. She had apparently been close to her father and when he passed away she went into a deep depression.
The news didn't bother me until I began reading the ghost stories others have to tell.
So if you believe you live with a ghost do you believe they are watching you in your most intimate moments? That there is no expectation of privacy?
The home is listed at 20% below tax value and about 10% less than what was owed the bank. I'm inclined to offer an even lower amount because of the "event," but state law here doesn't require it to be disclosed so some other buyer might make a better offer (it's in a desirable neighborhood). |

I bought an apartment and apparently the old lady who lived there previously had died on the doorstep - but I never had any problems. |

i bought the house I'm in knowing the previous tenant had actually fallen to his death in. and it was in the kitchen i even knew the old man who died. When my son was younger and i had put him to be and had the baby monitors on i used to hear a man whistling a song ever night around 11 i spoke to my neighbor to see it was them i even went outside to check if anybody was whistling and they were not in the end i spoke to the neighbor through the wall to and told her everything and even hummed the tune and she told me it was the old mans favorite tune and was always humming it i was never afraid of the ghost and he never has bothered me at all and i have now been living in the same house for the past 7 yrs and don't plan on moving |

This really is a matter of personal preference. If the idea bothers you, then it will continue to bother you. I don't think that being a Christian has anything to do with it. Personally, I know that any concerns you may have are rooted in superstition, which is not a rational platform from which to make a business decision. If the house is a great price, and will fit your needs perfectly, then what is the problem? |

You can have the house blessed to put you at ease but make sure the person knows what they are doing. Sometimes they can upset the spirit and cause it to begin to be aggressive. It's no fun living with a mean spirit, I know from personal experience. We didn't have our house blessed before we moved in but after years of living in it and increasing negative activity, we had it blessed and didn't have anymore problems. You might want to study up on it too, there are some items you can put in your house to draw certain energies and drive others away. |

The house has bad Feng Shui or Negative Sha energy.
My advice?
Find another home.
Good luck! |
