What are you nuts?
A loan of that epic size would certainly not be made available to a 16 year old. You need a credit history and a sizeable collateral.
What on Earth do you plan to do with it? |

im 18 and i still live at home because i cant afford it even though i work full time. even on 12 grand per annum its not really possible and i could never get a loan of that much even being an adult. also its very hard to get an income of above 12 grand per annum when you are only 16. how much do you even reckon a good income is...my mums still struggling and shes 43!!
if you want to move out look at rooms being let out...but it will still cost a bomb! |

no, you have to be 18 to get a loan, and would need to be earning huuuuge amounts of money to get a loan for that much anyway - that's more like a mortgage than a loan amount |

erm you won't get that at 16....no. |

You will not be accepted for a loan until you are 18. and then you will have to prove that you are earning enough to pay it back. |

you will never find a lender until you are 18

being as you cant enter into a legaly binding contract untill your 18 then you wont get a loan. you will need somebody who is 18 or over to act as a guarantour for your loan
even then you will need to be able to prove your income and your ability to pay it back or have a business plan drawn up |

Maybe you two could focus on graduating from high school and going to college early. While at college you could move in together and grants and loans could pay for you to live decently. There is no way a bank would even consider giving a loan of that amount to a teen. |

I assume you are talking about applying for a mortgage to buy a house? Not if you are in the UK.
You could get someone to buy a house and put it in trust for you, but you will not get a loan until you are an adult. |

No one is going to give you a loan.
In the US you have to be 18 to enter into a contract. A loan agreement or promissory note is a contract. A rental agreement is also a contract and at 16 you can't sign that here.
If the legal age of majority is different there - then maybe you can - but here - you can not because you are not legally an adult. |

You have no chance I'm afraid to say. You need to be at least 18 years old to get a loan and even then you have to prove that you have the correct income to cover the repayments which, on the amount you want to borrow, will be very high. Banks also need to be shown that you have been in a secure job. You are so young to put something like this noose around your neck. Please think again before acting on impulse and making such a heavy commitment at such a young age. Go enjoy your life. Its what you should be doing honey. |

No, because you have to be of legal age in order to sign a contract.
Unless you plan on working as a stripper or prostitute, I can't imagine what kind of "good income" you can earn at 16 with no education and no job skills. |
