Dont forget:
1. You really hadn't thought about moving
2. You are happy where you are
3. You need time to find, buy and move into a new property
- if they want you out, will they pay to store your furniture and accommodation for you meanwhile?
4. Selling and buying isn't just a handover - consider legal costs, moving costs, new light fittings, carpets, curtains, etc.
Get your house valued professionally and add on the costs of the above. They are causing you inconvenience not the other way round. |

I would say 150% is reasonable.
i.e. £195,000
Tell them you have been approaced by ASDA already... ;) |

In the United States you should get 1.5 times the apprasied value when a company approaches you. However, they won't pay more than what it's worth to them and all three property owners will have to agree or the deal will be off for all of you. |

There are two issues here. If Tesco already have a supermarket near you, chances are they want to buy your home before another supermarket makes you an offer. (They want to make sure no other supermarket set up near them and thus claim all the customers in your area). You should take advantage of this or offer your home to the highest bidder
Alternatively if there are no supermarkets near you, Tesco needs your land to build its new supermarket. Again they will pay a higher than value price for your home. This will be more so if you are the only remaining property on the land they are looking to build upon. However...If there are several homes, all of you will be wanting high than value price and this may put Tesco off altogether and build elsewhere.
Either way it all seems like good news and I would take the opportunity to contact your estate agent for advice on valuation options. |

I would start at £300000 and let them make the next step Tesco have already spent allot of money thy want your house.
Or why not pay a solicitor to work on behalf of you if you think that this is to difficult for you to loos, his expenses will be taken back from the sale of your home and the purchase of your new home you will need a solicitor for this good luck |

If it were me I'd double the price then negotiate with them after all, you would have to buy another house, you would have to pay for removals, you would have to buy new carpets and flooring for your new home and also your inconvenience as your happy where you live aren't you, go for as much as you can get. |

As much as you can - the store they build over it will make millions, they can afford it. |

All 3 homeowners need to stick together on this. Speak between yourselves and see what figures you can come up with. I'd push for something way over the going price - get some idea from several agents to start with and then you know where you stand. Dont forget it's not just a house they want - they need the land for a particular purpose. Drive a hard bargain - they are truly wadded - a few extra thousand wont go amiss and it will make a big difference to you 3 property owners. |

Just keep holding out and watch the price go up! Don't wait too long though. or they'll have bought up everything around you and force you into selling because the market value of yours will plummet when it's surrounded by demolishon work. |

I'm sure that you'll get a decent offer and that you can decide whether or not it's worth your while accepting.
Don't you find it amazing that we have so many business geniuses here on Y!A? Most of your answerers seem to know how to outwit Tesco in the marketplace. Guess they're all millionaires, then! |

Let them come with an offer and in the meantime keep your feet stiff. It's more important for them... |

If your house is worth £130,000 I would take no less. Tell tesco to make you an offer and if lower than 130,000 say no until they give you what it is worth and nothing less |

if tesco want yoyur house real bad they will pay top prices and about market value. get the advice of a prefecinal like an eastate agent or advice beuro but start by asking at least 250.000 then you have scope to barter with them. |

Hold out for as much as you can - they are brutal, screw them to the wall. |

Find out what they are offering.
Then laugh and walk away.
If they are that desperate they will up the offer.
Try for half again the market value.
Don't forget to have the house valued to be sure of the price.

Ask tesco what they are prepared to buy it for. Bear in mind that you are also asking for compensation on top of the house price for the trouble of moving. Factor this is at about 20%. |

You've got to cover your costs for buying a similar kind of property plus all your fees. Work out how much its going to cost you to move. |

Get it valued yourself for a start, but they won't give you more than they offer. They did that locally to me a few years back.I think you'll get what your house is worth from what I've heard from other people this has happened to.Best of luck. |
