We were due to complete on January 18th, but that was the day of the storms (in UK) and the banks computers went down, our solicitors had a power cut and it all went pear shaped! Didn't complete until the next day, and even then it was touch and go, just to cap it all, we turned up at the house to find slates off the roof, and panels of fencing down and smashed! I am never moving again. I hope you have "completed" by the time you read this! |

the traditional time is for everyone in the chain to all move at midday.
Good luck, this is the final hurdle! |

As others have said completion is a bit of an anti-climax as all practically you will do is receive a phone saying that you can pick up the keys, there is nothing to sign or anything else. When we bought our house the solicitor set the completion day the day after all the financial transactiosn were due to go through to ensure that the money would be definitely in the account etc (this was with no chain so was fairly easy) |

Second that. It's usually midday - ring the agents or your solicitor.
Once complete - go get the keys from the estate agents! |

Don't panic.
Completion is usually set to happen at midday to make it a definite and workable time for all parties. If you are really worried, phone your conveyancer. |

We had to wait for the money to have been transferred into the sellers account and to show up ok. You should be able to exchange at around 3 I'd say. that's what time we picked the keys up anyway.
If I rememeber correctly, our solicitor called to say they received payment and confirmation and then the estate agent called to say we could pick up the keys. That's it then. Nothing else needed. |

You're waiting for the money to go through. You should expect a call from your solicitor or estate agent by midday. If you haven't heard by 11:30 give them a quick call to see if there's a problem. Make sure you call before midday though because otherwise they'll be at lunch and they may go early on a Friday. They can't release the keys until the money has gone through, but keep chasing if you don't hear anything! |

the money has to arrive at your solicitors bank by chaps then it is sent to the seller's solicitors then they acknowledge receipt and keys are released - this takes time and banks can be very slow , you are likely to get the keys by around 1-2pm |

i suggest you talk to your attorney about the process before you sign anything.do not go into a closing blind. |
