My neighbors that rent the house next to me have been harassing me, how can I stop this?
They have called the cops and the department of health for bogus reasons and I have no idea why they are doing this. The cops and dept of health both came to my house because the neighbors said we were dumping chemicals in our yard which we were not and that was proven when both parties came to inspect my yard. The neighbors owe us $350.00 you would think I would do something to them but it's the other way around. I want to get them kicked out but I don't know how to do that. I just want them gone so we can return to a normal life.

The police will literally start ignoring them, but there isn't anything you can do. This is within their legal rights.

File a complaint for harrassment, or call their landlord and let them know what is going on.

see a lawyer.

bostonianinmo
How do you know that it is them who filed the phony reports? Neither the cops nor the health department will reveal the source of a complaint unless you get a court order to force them to reveal it.

Talk to their landlord. If the landlord is a descent person in anyway...he will talk to the tenants and tell them to either knock the crap off, you they could be faced with eviction.

This is within their legal rights so you can't do anything about it. The only thing you can do is file a complaint for harassment. Eventually the police will just ignore them for all the bogus calls. Don't worry!

Why don't you go over and try to talk to them?

Everyone wants the police to resolve their problems, what has happened to just talking things out?

Freeport77541
its within their legal rights. Calling a government authority on an illegal activity is a neighborhood watch.

Amy Who
I would start filing harassment charges when any incident happens. After a while the police will have to do something. Even if they don't, at least there will be a recorded of it. I would also take them to small claims court for the $350.00. Even if it took a while at least they would know that there will be consequences to their false allegations. It isn't that expensive (they would have to pay for all the court cost in the end anyways), it just takes a little time.

i'd kick the crap out of them.

Expert Realtor
Something is SERIOUSLY wrong with your story.

No gov't entity can legally charge you for a test that you did not order, that someone else filed a false complaint on, and when they didn't find anything.

If that is true...then why don't you make the same false phone call on them?

Sorry, I am not buying your story.
