My new apartment has large spiders! Is there anything the landlord should do about it?

emmy d
just get them cleaned and live happily. they would not come back if the house is lived in.
by the way how many spiders are there in your apt

Carla
First of all : EW.
2nd, you should get some raid, landlords arent responsible for spiders. it's not like ants.

Ken F
If it's covered in contract, you can get the landlord to exterminate via a 'bomb'...usually in the attic where spiders lay their eggs, and through perimeter treatment. You can also suggest to the landlord to have the gardener cut back on vegetation that is too close to the property. While you are at it, mention to the landlord that the building foundation block must be exposed (not covered in vegetation or buried in soil) so as to prevent termite infestation...this will show him/her that you are concerned about the property.

when i moved in to my apartment they told me to let them know if i seen anything i didn't want like ants and spiders!

Most places if it is a high occarnce and there are other homes conected to it they will spray!

ask your landlord what they can do!

not all of them will do anything!
read over your lease!

Kate W
Yes he should either bomb them or call an exterminator. Get rid of them!

Lauren
If it's in the contract then yes, get your landlord to take care of it. And I know it sounds disgusting, but spiders can be good for keeping other insects out off your apartment (but not if there is a massive amount of them).

DeedeeS
He should spray poision down in the area he thinks there coming from.

Tigger_Grrrl
absolutely!!!!! get him/her 2 call an exterminator immediately!!! hope all goes well

magix151
Yes! Ask your landlord to get an exteminator right away! Those things might be poisonous!
