Have you given the required 60 day notice?
If you have then you can move out they will send you the bill for the termination fee. At that time wait for the collection agent to call you and they normally will settle for half of what is owed. Or find someone to take over your lease but do it right go to your management office have them fill out the application and go threw the process.
Remember they can only charge you for the days the apartment is vacant as well as a termination fee. Unless you landlord will work with you. |

You simply tell the landlord ASAP and negotiate a graceful exit. Expect to pay a substantial penalty unless you are VERY good at negotiations. |

You can either get a second job to meet your rent obligations, or you can have a meeting with your landlord to discuss reneging on your lease agreement and the penalties you might face. Some landlords will not charge you for breaking your lease agreement, but others levy stiff penalties against you. |

Try a roommate or a second job. Not what you want to hear probably but try to stick it out. Better to struggle for 6 months than to have an eviction that will follow you basically forever. |

you might be able to break the lease by asking the landlords if you live in an area where units rent fairly fast you may have to pay a fee but if not you may have to pay until the unit is rented. Try to find some one to take over the lease if you can . We had to get out fast once due to violence we just said they could keep all of our deposit they did. |

Yikes, Your between a rock and a hard place. Your lease was put in place for a reason. Explore every option to stay afloat before speaking to your Landlord. Breaking a lease can get you sued. And that is the last thing you want to your record.
If you have no options you will be served with a 3 day or quit. And the owner will pursue the notice to a court. The best thing is for you to find a place before letting the owner know that your not able to keep up your part of the agreement. Therefore if this is your only option you will be in the process of living somewhere else before the legal paperwork is filed against you. |
