People with tattoos and piercings are not getting certain types of jobs, are not chosen for housing, and I am sure there is a host of things they have to endure.
I personally don't care, some of the most responsible people I know have tattoos and piercings. But for some, there is a stigma associated with those that will part with conventional mores and outwardly display their position. |

Sorry...Tats and piercings are a "choice" ... just like pink hair, weird clothes, and any other choices in body decoration. When you make that choice, you also make the choice of being reacted to for that choice. I have no problem with that policy.
BTW, Discrimination has to do with something you have no control over...again you have control over body "art." |

I see nothing wrong with tattoos or piercings and can not imagine why a landlord would chose to discriminate because of them, but they are not a protected class and likely will never be a protected class. So someone can discriminate based on this without breaking a law. |

Its their right to rent to whom they chose as long as it not based on race or religion. And far as I know tattoos and piercings dont fall under either. As far as if this sickens me, I could care less if apt complexes rent to them. It was their choice to do what they want to their bodys and now they have to live with it. Its called freedom of choice on both parts. |

Not to be mean, but I have taken several BLAW classes and there are a lot of gray areas. You can be discriminated against for tattoos and piercings. Most places add in thier clause that they won't discriminate homosexuals, this is not manditory by law, just smart. |

okay, i love tattoo's and piercings. But I hate when people are very tattooed and pierced and get mad when people stare. I think essentiatly that is what this is. If you have gone out of your way to go against the mainstream and then the mainstream doesn't except you why do you act suprised? example: If someone had a swastika on there forehead i would not want to work with that person, rent to that person or probably even talk to them. If you own a business you are fully allowed to enforce a dress code and a code of conduct. It doesn't even seem that the people who answered this watched the clip. watch it then give your opionion. |

I am sorry but refusing to rent to someone because of tattoo's and piercings??? This is discrimination! Some ppl get tattoos and piercings as a form of expression (kind of like freedom of expression) and others do this as part of religion. refusing to rent to someone based on there appearance is ridiculous. |
