I bet if you ask the manager about that question they will tell you they had not even realized that question was on there. The application is probably a basic one from an apartment association or somewhere similar. They are more interested in your employment history, rental history, DOB and SS# (to run a credit check)! |

The reason that question is asked is because the lessor doesn't want to rent his property to someone who intends to use the premise for inappropriate or illegal activities. If the lessee states a reason on an application and it is later learned that it is untrue, the lessor has legal grounds to break the lease. |
