We are in the final stages of a house being built, and we should close in the next few weeks. It is the beginning of July and we are contemplating just putting our stuff in storage, moving in with a relative and vacating our apartment, (which July is our final month of our lease). This will save us from paying our final months rent and we can use it for our new home. What would you do? This will save us $1000 at least. |

I was in the same situation. I didn't want to burden anyone by moving my family in with them. It makes the move a lot easier if you have the apartment and house at the same time. That way you can move all of your stuff once. If you try to rush it, you will probably not have enough time, and then you would have to pay rent anyways. |

If you signed a lease it is possible that your land lord can force you to pay that last month if you do not get someone to fulfill your contract.
Make sure you read the wording of your lease carefully before you move out. |

No you still have to pay that months rent . If you refuse your landlord can take you to court to collect the rent and he would him cus the lease says July so you still have to pay that months rent no matter what cus its in the lease..
A lease is leaglely binding !!!! |
