ANY IDEAS OF WHAT WE SHOULD DO??? Additional Details WOULD YOU HONESTLY GET RID OF TWO OF YOUR DOGS JUST TO GET A HOME???? |

Landlord
|
You need to get rid of the dogs. The landlords property insurance is voided by the existence of dangerous animals on the property. Insuring your dogs will cost about 2k a year, and they certainly can not afford that for rentals in your price range.
It does not matter where you look, the dogs create a huge liability. |

You will find it EXTREMELY difficult...if not impossible to find a landlord willing to rent to you with two pitbulls. Most landlords insurance companies list a pitbull at the top of their "dangerous breed" list....and will not insure the landlord if such an animal resides on the property.
My advise...get rid of the pits...and you will have no problem renting.
EDIT: "Would you honestly get rid of your dogs just to have a home".
Answer: Yeck yes...you will never find a landlord willing to rent to you with 2 pits. Time to think about buying your own place if you want to keep the mongrels. |

As posted above most insurance companies will not ensure a rental that allows pit bulls, |

Your caps lock button is stuck.
I didn't read all the responses, so this may be repetitive. The vast majority of insurance companies will not allow a landlord to accept bull breeds, so your pitbulls are going to be an obstacle that you are going to have a very difficult time overcoming.
You are going to have to find your dogs a home or stay where you are at. I have 4 dogs, so I can definately emphasize that this will be very hard on you. |

live back at your parents house you guys seem like a very young couple. you two together can't afford higher rent than 850 ? that is very sad, life must be very hard for you guys. |

i have the same problem. right now i live in a shelter and i had to let one of my friends take care of the pitt i have until i can get back on my feet.
my advice is see if any of your friends have room for a pet for a little while. then start looking for a small one bedroom apartment that will let you have pets. look EVERYWHERE!!! even if you think its ridiculous, ask. you might be surprised. try looking on the internet. ask your friends, your family and anybody else to help you look.
you might have to resort to your parents for a little while, but if it helps go for it.
i hope you find something soon. ill keep you in my prayers. |
|

this is harder than it looks.
 |
Sorry, but the dogs are what are holding you back. It is a common rule to not rent to people with those kinds of dogs. and trust me, there are no laws that protect you having your dogs.
You will either have to lower your standards, stay with family, or get rid of your dogs. |

Everyone faces this at some time if you own pets. Some people leave the pets with family and visit them daily. Others end up renting a room in a private house with other people who own dogs and have a back yard. |
