then how in the world will you pay your rent?? Just where are you getting this money if you dont work? Sounds like you need some growing up before leaving mommy's and daddy's house...

If you are not employed it is obvious that you are not able to establish to a landlord that you have a working income. If your income comes from other sources, such as a trust fund then you will need to state that on your rental application.

If you are not working and you do not have an outside income source then you may find some difficulty with getting your own apartment.

who will be supporting you while you live in this apartment? if it is your parents, then the landlord would need proof of their income. if it is from a trust fund or inheritance, you will need to provide the appropriate documentation.

How do you expect to pay for the apartment? Would you rent to someone with no income?

hemi
If you have cash...as you claim...go in and ask if you can pay for the duration of the lease up front....no reasonable apartment manager would turn that offer down.
Otherwise you will need to proove where your money comes from, or get a co-signer

Well if you don't work then you don't have proof of income

where is the money coming from if you don't work? - they want to make sure you can afford to pay the rent

Just tell them your situation...they just want to make sure that you will be able to pay your bills and they won't have to evict you. If you cannot prove income, maybe you could find someone willing to co-sign with you. Good luck.

they need proof that you have a steady income or they aren't going to rent to you. if you're parents (or someone else) is going to foot the bill, then they will need to co-sign the rental agreement making them responsible for payment

If you have money for rent, you need to show where that money is coming from. Where is it coming from? That may help us determine a good proof of income.
