Bit of advise, ignore the person who told you buy in Hull. It is indeed the one place you should avoid if buying in this Country. I have a few mates who live there, and they'll be the first to admit its a bit of a toilet. And i'd avoid London. Its expensive and smelly. North Wales is beautiful, or many places in Scotland. Or you could skip us altogether and move to France.

Mainland UK, City or relatively large town, university, hospital and railway station within 1 hour of london.

If you were to split the UK into quarters, then the South East quarter.

There is no 'best place' as such. The further out of London you go, the bigger & cheaper a lot of the proerties are but the salaries are also lower.

Up North it rains most of the time. South has the best weather.
