I rent an apartment and I cannot get hold of my landlord her phone number has been disconnected and a couple days ago someone came and took the dumpster from out back so now i don't have anywhere to put my trash. There are 3 other people who live in the building. No one else can contact her. I want to turn her in because I think the dumpster was removed because she didn't pay the bill. If i have to pay for trash removal can I take it out of my rent? Who would I contact to complain about her? |

Do you have a number for the owner of the building? Does she live on the premises? I take it she doesn't... or you would have knocked on her door.... Phone the police... they usually can trace ownership of the building you live in, or put you in contact with the right people who can... good luck. It sounds like you might be living in a building that is getting ready to be sold... |

You can contact your city code inspector, generally they will come to your home and investigate, take pictures , write out a complaint. They will send a letter to the landlord , ordering them to fix the problem. You can file a complaint through your county Court, and put your rent in escrow with them. You have to do this before the due dare of your next rent payment The landlord will have to fix the problems in order for them to release your rent payment to her. If you incurred any expenses due to her negligence, They will subtract this amount and refund it to you and then give her the rest. good luck. If you can get the other tenants to do this too, it will make a stronger claim for all! That's one way to get a landlord's attention,hit 'em in the wallet! Also, when you go to do a rent escrow, take your lease with you. |

You can go to your town hall they'll know how 2 reach her through records they have on the house & the taxes that she pays.Do U have an address on her? If so try going 2 her place & asking her.But if U must pay 4 trash removal then yes take it out of the rent my trash removal is included with my property taxes If all else fails call the police but they'll need address & phone number that U have 4 her.Good Luck |

depending on what state you live in
go to the tax office. make sure you have the physical address for the building.
tell them you are trying to locate the owner and they will look up the owners name and mailing address for that particuliar property.
take it one step further, go to the tax office and see if the property taxes are current. there may be a chance that the owner id letting the property go.
and lastly, hold on to your rent until someone contacts you.
make out a money order, do not put anyones name on ot and put it asside
if you are not contacted within 15 days of the due date then it is possible the landlord is having some major problems. do this every month. make out you money order and hold on to it. oh yeah, you guys get your own trash can and deduct it from the rent.

if you pay for the rubbish removal, then deduct it from your nxt rent you pay but make sure that you send this in writing to your landlady that you will be doing this with evidence that you have done it.
Im pretty sure that if you didnt pay your rent on time then she will be the one contacting you about it and then you will begin to see results, so just dont pay for a while.
You can also contact the CAB (Citizens Advice Bureau) and they know your rights and will help you with your case, there should be an office in your area just do a search on the net and book an app. |

Contact the city. They should have some city department that deals with housing problems. Trash problems would be a health violation. |

you can also try to call the health department to complain because you need the service, but for any reason you can't take any money out of your rent, other ways she will evict you for non rent payment, the only thing you can paid somebody to dump your trash, and later charge her for the service make sure you keep your receipts. |

You can deduct it from the rent if you solve the problem yourself, but you need to follow the propert procedure. You can go to this site
