Rented a room in ireland verbaly for 2 months, no lease was made. After a week living at the room i have reasons to move out, nothing to do with the house. Notifed him 7 days before to moveout. Payd him for the 1 week advence and now hes asking for full month payment for injury.

Well, if he doesnt have it on paper like everyone else said... he cant do anything just avoid him and eventually he will leave you alone.

Check local law, but in the US you must give 30 days notice. |

If you have not signed a Contract, you are not liable. He has failed himself by not drawing up a formal contract. Just walk away as there is absolutely nothing he can do, legally that is. |

What ever happened to a someone's word?
Technically, since there's no lease you should not have to pay the full month.
Now, being the nice person you are, you should come up with either a compromise at the very least if you wont pay for the whole period. |

i think your liable, you agreed to live there for 2 months and now your leaving after 2 weeks. A verbal agreement is still an agreement, tell him you'll pay the fee for him having to re-rent the room, costs for adverts etc and see how he takes to that! |
