Don't do it. A] It will end your friendship more than likely. Having a roommate is even hard when you have two separate bedrooms. I have a two bedroom condo and refuse to rent out the upstairs for the sole reason of with roommates are hard. If something of yours comes up missing...who the first person you think of? Roommate. If your trying to go to bed and have to get up early...who's keeping you up? Who's staying up until 5 in the morning screwing? Who's eating all of your food? Haha...I'm not trying to be pessimistic...all I'm saying is its hard enough when you each have your own room, but sharing a bedroom...in my book that's walking a fine line of insanity. ...But if you want to, go for it love. I agree. You'll be opening yourself and your personal items up to someone else who might not respect your things. Or might not pick up after themselves. And the roomate might be alright, but then what about their family and friends. I've tried it and my friend let another of friends in my closet and she stole some of my clothes. So be careful. Becoming roomates even with the best of friends could ruin the friendship. Just so you know |

Sounds like it may be a little too close for comfort. Maybe if it was your significant other, but not a friend. Not unless you guys work a lot or something. Being stuck together in the same room all the time will get on both of your nerves. |

Maybe you could...Don't put up ads in the newspaper or on the street though...Try finding someone over the internet or someone you already know. That way you would get to know them better or you already get along. |

If you live in a 1 bedroom apartment then unless you are a "couple" you cannot live with another person in a 1 bedroom. How will your sex life work if he shares a room with you??? Also most apartment complexes will not allow you to have someone living in the apartment without them being on the lease and they definately will not allow you to both live in a one bedroom unless this friend is a girlfriend.
Unless you rent a two bedroom then I would say definately don't do it, no privacy, what if they snore, they are a slob trust me it's not worth the extra money to have someone RIGHT THERE yikes. |
