Should I??????
Im 23 years old, Ive been renting my own places for the last 6 years. about 10 months ago my boyfriend (29 years old) moved in with me, we have being going out for nearly a year.
He is trying to buy a house this year but is having difficulty. I am in a position where I have a good imcome and good life style. He asked me to go in halfs with him and buy a house. I dont have a deposit but he has rather a large deposit, and with my very good credit history we would be garenteed a nice mortage amount. We would both be well able to make the monthly repayments.
I dont want to keep paying rent as its lost money. I would like to eventually build my own house in years to come and see this move as an inverstment if nothing else.

Am I too young?(even though I am very mature in my thinking) Is our relationship too new? (even I know he is the one).

I would really appreiciate your honest opinions and advice

If you think this is what you want, go for it. But I would strongly advise you to set up some sort of contract (e.g. regardign the percentages you own: if he pays all of the deposit, his share should be larger, but if you pay some of the monthly mortgage payments, you've got some rights too). Unless you want to be classed as renting from him, which would leave you with nothing in case you two split up (obviously that's not what I wish for you to happen, but you'll NEVER know).
Do what feels right if you can afford to financially and get some legal advice.
Good luck!

I don't know. how well do you know him? personally Ive learnt really big lessons with men. All you can do is go with your heart and do what feels right for you. Good Luck.

Its good to get on the property ladder and no you are not too young, but be careful because the market has slowed right down and prices may even start to fall, maybe it would be wise to wait a few months and see how general house prices are changing.

23yrs old is really not enough to get in relationship but Ur matured in your age rght now and knows more about everything in life and in relationship. i think u cn handle it. For me in my past i got lot of worst in myself into relationship at young age 18 to 24 yrs old now I'm in 26 yrs of age. I'm in good, stable now in my life. Actually a guy who really love's you he knws frst the rght things to do to make you happy b'cause he's the guy who will protect you to guide you to care you to comfort you.. its better to know more about him first bfre you go into serious relationship. i dont knw if he really love's u or not. i comment to buy frst a reasonable house for u. so if you break up you can buy another house for yourself again.. hope i can say a good answer.. only my opinions

Go for it! Especially as you feel like he is 'the one'.

So, until you actually tie the knot, I would seriously suggest that you are both very clear about who paid for what, what the split is, who bought what household items etc.

Its a healthy way in my opinion to keep a track of things.

no you are never too young, the earlier you get on the property ladder the better,go for it..

I don't think you;re too young, in years to come you'll be pleased you did it when you did. Plus at the moment house prices have dropped slightly so it's a very good time to buy.
On the other hand, maybe it is too soon. The fact that you're questioning it makes me think that maybe you're not quite ready for this. You need to look at your realationship with your bf - is it good? Do you still see yourselves together in 5 years time?
For some people a year together wouldn't be too soon, and for others it owuld, you really need to figure out what you want deep down, amd whatever you do don't just go alonmg with it to make your bf happy or you'll regret it, make sure it's 100% your decision

If this helps at all i'm 25 and have been with my bf 3 and a half years, we rented a place together for 2 years and finally got a mortgage in July last year.

Good luck :)

buying a home - very smart move - and sounds like you have a wonderful relationship - BUT when buying a home - since you are not married - be sure to determine what will happen if you decide to break up or things don't work out - now you are two individual people owning a home together with mutual vested interests and money involved. Would you buy him out? would he buy out your portion of the home? would you sell it? That's the ONLY thing I wanted to point out - make sure the home is titled properly and you've thought about FUTURE (just being cautious) I've seen it happen before.
Good Luck

I'm not gonna question your relationship cos thats not what your askinf right?

I was 18 when i baught my 1st house and its the best think i did, by the time im 37 i'm gonna be mortgage free on my home!

But i hope to be able to pay it off when i'm 34, but a head start never hurts!!!

I'll leave the relationship stuff up to u to decide, good luck!

I wouldnt do it. 1 year is not a long time to think this is going to be forever. I say get his parents to co sign for the loan and you can always go on later if it all works out. Id give it a few years. Your not even married. This is like getting a tatoo that will stick with you forever and what a pain in the *** it would be to remove if you needed to.
Hell he might even be able to get a loan on his own with out the parents if he has a nice down payment. He is talking to the wrong lender is possible.

Well ive been with my partner for 5mths and livng together
but if we had the money i would defo buy a house with him
for one if you know in your heart your good for eachother and 10mths living is good to know that then go for it
you'll have an investment with rent its going to landlords pocket someone elses investment and pocket that they dont have to work for
and the prices of houses these days like in 5yrs time you might not have this chance and might sky rocket and first time buyers at moment are struggling so yeah if ya have money now and life style and great man i say bloody go for it gal
invest that money make that house yours and years time ya could nearly double your money
have ya thought about property developing
