Should I evict her or am I being unreasonable?
I own a brand new townhome with brand new everything...I have a roommate who is starting to not look like a good fit. She has loud sex w/ her bf constantly, her bathroom (which was never used before her) is disgusting and the tub is stained, she cooks all the time and has trashed the oven by spilling stuff everywhere, her friends that are always over are total white trash, and she can barely afford the $400 rent...she has to split it up in payments of $200. She annoys me everytime I see her. I've worked hard for my things. Should I kick her out? If so, how do I do it without causing a scene?
Additional Details
She is on month to month so I know I would have to give her 30 days notice.

Ultimately, it's YOUR house. If living there with her and her ways is becoming unbearable, then it's not worth it. I've have room-mates in the past, and I certainly feel for you. But when it came down to me having to find stuff to do every night so I didn't have to be home, I knew it was time for that person to leave. Just sit down and have a little chat with her, tell her that things just aren't working out like you had hoped, that her lifestyle and yours is different, stuff like that. Good luck, and better luck with the next room-mate! : )

Andrea
You are definitely not being unreasonable! Just tell her that you don't think it's working out and you'd like her to be out by whatever date you want. Look on this as a learning experience - you know what to ask prospective roommates now and what kind of rules to set.

Good luck.

Give her the boot, it will only get worse and make sure she doesn't tear anything up after you evict her.

If she is on a month to month then it is really up to you. If she is ruining your things then I would say good bye because you worked hard to get them and it seems like it's more than just personalities not aligning.

You should be comfortable who you live with. The money doesn't matter, as she is paying it. It's the behavior you must address. Boot her.

I would if she is not respecting your property. There are many people who need a place to stay and there are many people who will respect your property. Good luck

Oh wow, Yes I would evict her, but first I would ask her to stop, and warn her that you will evict her. If it continues, yes, you don't have to deal with that, Its just crazy!

webserver227
You might have to ask her to leave. Making huge sex noise is trying to make you jealous of her joy. She is not very nice. Maybe she wants you to join her. You never know.

You do have the right to ask her to leave but you must give her at least 30 days of notice to move out.

If not then, you can evict her. She probably can find another place quick because roommartes are easy to find but a good roommate is much harder but still possible.
