Should i buy a home now?

Now is one of the best times to buy. Rates are still at historical lows and the maket has lsowed. Combine that with the annual slowing that occurs this time of year and you have a recipe for a great deal. However you will want to speak to someone like myself ( loan officer with a bank) to get preqaulified. That will make sure you don't bite off more than you can chew.
Good luck,

That's a pretty vague question. Can you afford it? Do you have funds for down payment and closing costs? Do you have a job or other source of steady income?

If you mean, is this a good time to buy a house, it probably is. There's a lot of stock on the market right now, and a lot of people are struggling financially. That makes what is called a "buyer's market". Rates are not the rock bottom numbers they were a year ago, but they're still very good as long as you don't try to buy more house than you can afford.

Sabrina N
It's a buyer's market. With the market the way it is right now, its probably a great time to buy. From October to December are the absolute slowest times for sales so people are really anxious to get their house sold....meaning they will take some really low offers right now because most likely they dont want to have to pay a mortgage payment any longer, especially with the holidays around the corner. I also found some interesting info on yahoo real estate. http://realestate.yahoo.com/Realtors/Key_Strategies_for_Buyers.html;_ylt=Alx7or8LM.3g.KUy4e9_RHg9HN0B Hope this helps.
