Someone broke into our house?
About a month ago someone broke into our house took all of our money didnt touch anything but our money. Come to find out it was someone we knew. A week later he broke in again and took the money that my husbands uncle gave us to get by with bills. The cops have already talked to the boy but he wont fess up to doing it. Last night we got a call and someone told us that the boy was getting scared because the cops told him that there was already 3 people that gave a statment saying that he did it so he made an appointment to go in and make a statement that my husband was giving people pills to make false statments on him! and actually no one has made a statement. Are the cops messing with the boy to get him to confess?
Additional Details
and no we really didnt give anyone pills but the boy that broke in is a big pill popper and will do anything for drugs. I know he spent all of our money on whatever he could get his hands on to get messed up. My husband wants to go looking for him tonight also and i dont know what to do about that either. I would love to see this boy get hurt! i really would but i dont want my husband in jail over it

sounds like it and you need to get a dog to protect property

Christa B
Dogs don't help with security. A Security system helps with security. Just let the cops do their thing, and in the mean time beef up your security by installing a system, using window locks, getting a fire proof safe bolted to the floor and putting all cash, credit cards, important documents (Birth Certificate, passports, etc...) into it. And watch "It Takes a Thief"

sounds like you need to start locking your doors, and put an alarm system in.

I wouldn't worry about what the kid says about your husband. The police know this kid can't be trusted, they just need solid proof before they can prosecute him. If he tries to call your husband a drug dealer, the cops aren't going to come knock down your door to investigate.

Personally, I would go find out what it would take to set up a web-cam. You can buy them for under $100, hook it up to your existing computer, and hide it in a spot where you can see your cash-stash but where it won't be noticed. Leave the house for an evening and go to a friend's house and watch the video stream on their computer. Be sure its recording somewhere. When the kid comes to swipe the cash, you'll have him on video and that will be the end of all this BS.

Good luck sorting it all out, but I wouldn't panic, it takes more than one misfit kid giving a testimony to get the cops to investigate for potential drug dealers.

This kinda sounds like fun....I would set up some video cameras...and then I would take all the cars away from my house at the time the robberies have taken place and wait for him in a closet or something..,Then I would catch him and tie him up with a rope and call the cops...fun fun...be smart about it though be ready with something to defend your self with.

golferwhoworks
sure so what if they can get a confession then they have him on b&e

It's a typical tactic by police to get a statement from a suspect. Don't worry about the boy's statement about your husband giving people pills. Find out what method of entry the boy used to get inside your home so that you can install the preventive measure.

The boy seem to know where you keep the cash. It's not very smart to keep the money in the same place the boy knew. Buy and install a safe.

Sounds like "the boy" is messin' with the cops.

you need to get a checking account to pay the bill, after the first braking should have been a warning that they could return. my sister has been robbed and broken in by the same people 3 times, with no prof of who they are. she is so scared now, because they threatened to shot her child. they where armed robbers. she is moving. i advice a big dog in the house is a good ideal too. she got a bull dog, and he is so mean, that i can not go in her house. i wish you luck.
