No. The only thing a co-signer is responsible for is if you default on any payments. Then they are liable as much as you are. IT can even effect their credit |

The only time the co-signer would have to pay anything is when you don't pay your rent or other payments you are responsible for in your lease. The co-signer is to insure the landlord gets what he is due, if you don't pay. |

No, but they have to be able to pay your rent if you bail, try a parent or grandparent who trusts you. Then next year you'll have a year of renting under your belt and you shouldn't need a co-signer again. |
