I think it's great you want to plan ahead. You can't really pay ahead on an apartment and a down payment on a house will be much much more than that. So if I were you I would just work and put as much money as you possibly can into savings. Then when you get to that point you just pull the money and pay for what you want. Have your fiance save too in her own savings account. DO NOT mix your accounts until you are older and married. And even when you are married you should both keep some sense of money individuality. I have made a LOT of financial mistakes I would love to take back. Here is where I go for guidance in getting my financial life in order....

Ok- I'll be blunt- NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. Stop dreaming and grow up!

You cannot sign any legal document or agreement until you are 18. No apartment will allow payments until you move in, again you cannot do that until you are 18., Even if it was legal for you to buy anything at your age, it would NOT be payed off in 2 years!! It takes 20-30 years minimum to pay off a house.

I'm sorry if that is to rude for anyone, but I'm not one to sugar coat the truth. I don't care if I get thumbs downed. This is just stupid. This child has evidently lived a sheltered life.

Am I reading this wrong, or do you think you can pick out a house and have it "payed for" in two years? If you think you can pay off a house or condo in 2 years, you're not ready for the big bad world. As Judge Judy would say, "You're not fully cooked yet."

Concentrate on your education now. Save money. Get some college or training. THEN consider a house.

Your gonna need a job, and also to pay gas, electric, water, waste, etc. At 16 you wont get a job that can afford that, especially because you would wind up a high school drop out.

Your F*cking up bro, tone it back or itll be irreparable.

No, you can not make payments now, because you are not of age. Minors can not make a binding contract. No one will make an agreement for an apartment that far in advance. When the time comes, you will need a job for al least two years. Many landlords will not rent to anyone under 25 unless their parents will cosign the lease. Sorry. Growing up is tough. Best wishes.

What do you get out of growing up so fast? I don't get why you would pay for something you are not using. There will always be housing available, why are you worried about that?

You're kind of jumping the gun. You have 3 years before you have to start worrying about rent or mortgage payments. I certainly wouldn't pre-pay any rent. As far as a house, if you can afford it you can buy a house and rent it out until you're ready to move in.
The most practical route to take is to simply save the money. Ear mark it for this use and don't spend it. When you're ready the money will be there to make it easier, plus some interest will have been added.

No you must be 18 to sign any type of legal document including a lease.
Just keep saving.

as for an apartment, you dont buy it, you rent it, so it is never PAID for. you always pay rent on your apartment even if you live there 50 years. as for a house, in this market, im guessing being 15 you probably dont have 20% to put as a down payment on a house. without a down payment it is very hard to buy a house right now. banks just are not giving out money. wait til you get married then rent an apartment and save up to buy a house further down the road.

you're so young to start thinking about that kind of stuff. most of the time people change their minds about who they want to spend their lives with . I'm not saying you won't last but it might very well just be "puppy love", not bad and always memorable but try having a life before you bury yourself in bills
