According to a Lease (signed contract) the Landlord's have the right to enter a unsecured Apartment upon inspection. Also, they have the right to inspect, plus areas that affects Tenants health such as drugs activity present in a apartment complex and without waiting or depending on Tenants complaints... As the Law states...The Landlord must provide at least 24 hours notice before entering a Tenant's secured (alarm system is provided) Apartment. I communicated with the Landlord of entering my Apartment 3 each times and on each occasion the alarm went off by key entry... The first incident, the Landlord pretended to not knowing who enter the Apartment but today I learned from the Landlord that the Master Keys are housed within her office and they must cross-over her to receive the keys. Also, the Landlord is not educated on other rules of the Law, regarding unauthorized visit without notification in a secured Apartment because it was acknowledged only what the contract states to a unsecured apartment. Tenants have rights! Landlords cannot post notices today for repairs to be conducted this week and enter your apartment next week without notification or communication, just because the written statement is addressed in the Lease. We must educate ourselves on "Tenants rights" in order to defeat those Landlords abusive tactics.
