Them people are not rude if you're not making any effort to pay your bills. Get a second job & at least pay something, even if it's not the full amount.

In other words ... you decided to buy something you couldn't afford and now it's everyone's fault but yours ... right?

Canada is much less tolerant of people like you than the states are.

Do you know what extradition means?

Maybe if you weren't like 70% of Americans and actually spent within your means you wouldn't be in this mess.

Besides Canada's housing market is red hot, so you better have a lot of money saved for a home.

Go to Mexico. There are many poor and broke people there and you'll fit in perfectly.

I can see that you are in a difficult situation that no one would ever chose to be in. I hope that the thought of burning down your house is only a thought, and never turns into an action. Although you might be in some very hard times, there is hope.
First, yes, the government is trying to help people facing foreclosure, but they are not going to help everyone.

Secondly, it is true that many banks would be willing to work with you, but usually only if they feel you will be able to make all future payments on time.

There are also several organizations and people who dedicate themselves to helping people facing foreclosure. I know of some people who help people facing foreclosure, if you don't. You can email me (fishthebear@yahoo.com), and I will put you in touch with one of my friends that has a lot of experience working with banks and customers in similar situations.

I don't know exactly where you are in the situation, but don't lose hope! Even if you lost the home, you can start over again. Good luck!

Have you talked with the bank about a contingency plan? Something to help you save your house? I know that this may require you to get out there and find a second job, but running away from your problems is immature and doesn't help ANYONE--especially not you.

Keep making as large of payments as you can...go into the bank office where your loan is serviced, and TALK to them--they are people too--they have ups and downs, and will most likely try to help you if you go in and don't have an attitude. Remain calm when speaking to them (breaking out in tears or hysteria--not going to help your case).

Have some class--speak intelligently, don't use swear words, and be willing to compromise. Accept that at least some of this situation is your fault--this goes back to the attitude thing...no one is going to take you seriously if you walk in acting like a spoiled piece of white trash. Having the "poor me, everyone's out to get me" attitude won't help you either. Like I said before, you are going to have to accept that a good portion of this IS your fault...whether you like it or not, it's true.

Be sure to dress appropriately (and be clean hygiene-wise) as well--appearance is very important, probably second only to demeanor.

About the job--I'd probably try to either get one that pays WAY better (at least 2x as much), or keep the one you have and get another moderate-wage job...I probably wouldn't recommend McDonald's or Wal-Mart though...I would get a job that's got some advancement opportunities to help you catch back up to where you need to be on the loan.
