Here in the Houston area, it's around 1400-1700 sq ft

yeagerre
Could be 1200 sq ft, could be 3000 sq ft or more!

chrylmichell
Average in the midwest would be 1400 to 1600 sq. foot.

Illinois.... I have 6 rental houses like you mentioned.. 3 br with 2 bath,, and a few with 1 3/4 bath.. meaning no tub but a shower in second bath. starting at 1156 sq ft. to 1500 sq ft. Nice size rentals for mom dad, and two kids. No family room in these.. larger ones with family room is 1800sq ft.

I have lived in 3 different homes that are 3 bd, 2 ba. They are usually between 1100-1600 sq. feet. It depends on the layout too. Because on of ours was only 1000 sq ft. but felt way bigger. the one we are in now is 1400 sq. ft. and it is perfect for us...good luck

charburt8
An average 3/2 home in an average neighborhood would be approx 1550-1850 square feet. Some are bigger some are smaller.

every house is different. there is no average square footage when it comes to buying a home. It may be the size of a closet or it can be practically a mansion. so there really is no a right or wrong answer to your question. sorry. that's real-estate.
