Remember they received 3% of your sales price as a commission.
Usually they give YOU the presents!
Honestly, a thank you letter and a voe of loyality is enough, that and a promise to recommend them.
And I mean it, you owe them your loyality. I would never dream of leaving my broker out of any deal.

As a mortgage broker from Edmonton, Alberta here's two things that would make your realtor really happy:
1) A Reference letter that your realtor can show future clients.
2) Refer family and friends to him/her and hand out their cards
This business is built on strong relationships, if you introduce clients to your realtor you could reward him/her in no better way. |

Being a realtor, I would appreciate a nice thank you card, your business in the future, and any referrals you get a chance to send my way. And give me a call from time to time to let me know what's new.
I did have a client send me a box of chocolates and a nice thank you note. It was very sweet. |

first off congrats on the new house!
a gift basket sounds appropriate, or gift certificate -- even a letter of thanks along with a card could probably do more than what i mentioned above; words are more meaningful than a basket of fruit, in my opinion. :]
i would get him a card, and write him a sincere letter, and then whatever else you choose to do, go for it! ...candles are always amazing, or maybe you could bake him some nice cookies or something like that. it's the little things that count! congrats again!! |

My partner is a loan officer and the best thing she would ever want is loyalty and a referral of friends and family. The loan officer and Realtors are the ones who are sup post to give a closing gift to the borrowers. You could do something that cost nothing that is to write a testimonial on how great the service was if you would like. |

The best thing that an agent can receive is referrals from their happy clients. Or so I'm told by friends that are agents. |

The best gift you can give any realtor is a referral. I actually had a client send me a cooler full of Barbeque from my favorite restaurant. That same client also gave me a book and CD set after we closed another transaction. |

You could have him over for dinner in your new home or , if that's way too personal, I think a gift basket is always nice. Yes, they do get commission- everybody who works hard gets paid for it in this world but sometimes there are those who go above and beyond the call of duty and it's wonderful that you want to thank him for this. |

Write him a very detailed letter telling him how pleased you were with his service, something he can use on his website as a reference or frame and hang on his wall. Send it with a basket of stuff or balloons and have it delivered to his office so he gets the attaboy from his colleagues and broker.
Better yet, refer all your friends, family and coworkers to him. That would probably be the BEST gift! |

That's really nice of you, but you should know he's already been paid. Probably about 1.5% (another 1.5% went to his employer) of the purchase price. |
