What's the average age to buy ur first home ? and is it good that i'm 23yr buying my first home?

Dude
I'm 23 and I bought a home last year. I'm pretty sure age doesn't matter (well, over 18), it's just the ability to pay is what matters. If you're all settled, have the money for down payment (it helps), have a job, I think you're good.

roaringlion74
no average age just money.

I bought my first home at 20 on my own. Age means nothing (well anything over 18 but I digress). What matters is your ability to pay your loans and qualify for financing.

Regards

Klion
Average age is 34 years old.

Not sure what the average is but I am sure at 23 you are a head of the average. Great job. Congrats.

You should be proud if you can do it at 23.

But you should be sure it's the right financial move. Renting can have real financial advantages over owning, especially in today's real estate market. A lot of people are hurting now who bought a year or two ago.

It is very good that you are buying home, and congratulations on it being your first! I don't know if there are any statistics that would tell you that, but in my business for the past 20 years, they seem to get younger and younger.

It would be great if you could buy your first home that early. Talk to a lender, see if you can afford the monthly payment and then go for it. That is the way to go. My son bought his first home with 21, his mortgage will be paid off when he is 41 or earlier what his goal is. And then he can live mortgage and rent free.
The Market is in your favor, go for it.

hey, buying a house is a 30 - 40 yr committment in most cases and most people change lifestyles, jobs and even careers frequently between the ages of 21-30. age doesnt mean anything, what matters is whether you can see yourself being committed for so long, and if not, is there a way out that won't hurt your future goals.

Oh it is SOOOO fantastic that you are telling all of us you are buying a house at the age of 23! We are all swimming in envy and can't wait to tell our friends how we met some one on the internet who could afford a home at the age of 23 years old. Matter of fact, on your tombstone put "May be dead but I had a house at 23"
