Kitchen and bath. Your idea sounds perfect. We have been house hunting for 4 months and a bad kitchen can break the deal, a bad kitchen and bath makes us feel like we wasted our time seeing the house.

Kitchen, bath and light fixtures. But, have a Realtor do a walk through. Flooring and paint maybe a better option with your limited funds. |

Stainless appliances and steam showers are very popular right now. I don't think you can do both with $2,000. What condition are your appliances in now? If they are a distraction in the kitchen, replace them. The kitchen is usually the linchpin that makes or breaks a home.
