You need to go to the state web site for which the state you live in. For example, in AZ it is 90 hours class room time, pass school test, pass state and national boards. Criminal checks are done, etc. But the best answer is to go your state's website and look under licensing or so.

It depends on what state you're in. In Oregon, you must complete classes that are the equivelant of 15 community college credits (Real estate finance, real estate practice, real estate law), and then pass the real estate exam. |

All you need is to take a real-estate principles class which can be taken in a community college or an independent study, and pass the principles test(which is open book). Then once completed that you need to notify the state so you can take the State real estate test . After you pass it you will get your license. |

Before any schooling you must be ruthless and only care about your commissions. Most Realtors I've met have had those attributes of the real estate field. |

In connecticut, you need to take a class and pass them and then take the tests and pass those. Everything costs money though! With all the competition, its really hard work and very difficult to become succesfull. I would not count on it for sole income. |
