Assuming you are in England or Wales there is no binding agreement and no liabilities for the other side's costs until written contracts are exchanged.
You are free to refuse any reduction and are not liable for the prospective buyer's survey or anything else. However, if the survey has shown something up it is likely that other buyers will find the same thing and will want similar reductions. But your solicitor and estate agent are the ones best placed to advise you on how you should proceed. |
