What can I do if my landlord moved into my rental house 5 days before my lease was up, and threw away my stuff
I arrived home on April 28th to find my landlord asleep in my bed, and his wife sitting naked in the living area talking on the telephone. These are the worst landlords!!

First, I am going to assume that your landlord knew you were moving and you have been paying your rent on time.

Even if you are evicted, the landlord must keep your stuff for a certain amount of time - I think it is 30 or 45 days in indiana.Check with an attorney, though. To get your stuff, and everything else, you will have to sue him. If it really was all your stuff, you probally have a case. If you don't have much money, visit legal aid to see what you can do.

First, make sure you document everything and have everything in writing and take pictures of any damages to your stuff. If you have been paying the rent on time and haven't been breaking the rules of the lease you're in good standing. If you did break the rules of the lease your landlord must notify you in writing before kicking you out. Contact a lawyer with the documentation and sue.

You should have called the police right then.

The only recourse you have, providing that you have all of the necessary documentation to prove what you said in your question, is to take him to court and sue him for breach of contract, illegal entry, and for tampering with and destroying your personal property. I'd consult with an attorney and, if he thinks your case is strong enough, I'd consider having the bum arrested.

You could probably sue their asses off. Probably not worth your own time and trouble though depending on how much of your stuff they damaged or threw away. Be sure you hire a lawyer or someone that legimately knows what they're talking about and knows your state's laws or you could end up not only spending extra time and money, but in some instance could get yourself in trouble...find an expert

The smart thing would be to write a film script about it and get rich. Just exaggerate. In this case, you might not need to exaggerate that much.
