Go to Google & type in: Real Estate Schools in (the city where you live)
You need to go to RE school first, take the course, pass their test , plus pass a state test.
Also it doesn't hurt now, to speak with some larger companies in your area. Go & make an appt. with their broker. They should also be able to refer you to a reputable RE school. After you get your license you can "hang" your license with a broker, get with a company that offers lots of classes & training for new agents.
Keller Williams is a great company, see if there is one in your area. |

Go to the website for the commission that is responsible for the administration of your state's licensing laws. They will have all of the information about education, character, age, etc. since they are the ones establishing the requirements. |

I would check out Windemere, John L Scott, or another real estate company. Often times they are more than willing to help you get started in a position. However, in my experience these companies run like a hair salon. basically you have to "buy your chair" or give them a large fee to have an office and use their name.
Also, most states require that you have a license. If you want to get started on your own, I would recommend looking into real estate seminars and classes in your area. Most community colleges should have more information. Also, some real estate firms will assist you with your schooling if you get really lucky!
Check into your state's requirements on how to get a real estate license. Even if you can get a job as an office assistant or receptionist at a firm, you can use that experience to gain knowledge and meet contacts to help your future in real estate.
Best of luck!
Here is a great website: http://www.careeroverview.com/real-estate-careers.html |

Well all states require a license to sell real estate, that is where you should start. Big real estate companies like Century 21 and Remax offer classes that are geared to help you pass your state's test. They may even make you an offer to work for them when you pass. Good luck in your endeavors. |

get your real estate salesperson license and find a brokerage to work for. if you have a 4 year degree, you can get a broker's license. it is easy. the important thing is to have a book of business ready to go. network, make contacts and build your pipeline.
getting into real estate is easy, making money in real estate is tough unless you have clients coming to you. |

Please go to a real estate school that is independent of the real estate companies. They will sit down and talk to you about all the steps it takes to become an agent. When you do to talk to various brokers, they also have schools but generally they teach the way their company handles transactions. You want to learn a general idea and then go speak with different brokers before you work for a certain company. They have all different things to offer, some offer to have you work with another agent(but that doesnt always work), othere put you through a 2 week crash course and another just throws you out to see if you sink or swim.
I'm talking from the standpoint of working with those said companies but not as a licensed agent.
I have trained real estate agents and have 16 years in the business. |

Depending on what state you are in, it is best to your states website and see what the requirements are (it varies state to state).
Or, you can go to www.realtor.org or www.nareb.com (national association of real estate brokers) to see what the requirements and fees are.
Good luck! |

I am a graphic artist who for four years did the real estate section...talking to the real estate agents daily, making their ads for them and I got to know hundreds of realtors...I got to see the best ones to the least and why...who succeeded and who died....so here is my personal insite...
To be the best real estate agent, first off you have to have tons of patients, a good head for business, knowledge of how to keep a deadline, a people personality and good paperwork skills, along with a sense of humor and dogged determination...
Real Estate is depending where you are:
you can go to several companies in real estate and they themselves will train you and help you get your license....I would if I were you take a business course at a college for bookeeping and some colleges even have real estate classes now. you can get online learn about real estate and get the books to take the test too but they are costly. But if you know someone who is in real estate, see if you can use their books...It is tough in real estate to go up against the big sellers...I would find out who is the best in your area and ask them to teach you and shadow them till you learn why they are the best...there is one woman here that tops them all at 85 years old...every month. Then learn advertisement which makes or brakes you....to make a great ad go with big pics and not to much verbiage....you can go to Hobbs Turner web and see how he does the ads...really nice...study on the web things like how to pic a good house to sell, or how to make a open house better...there is tons of information out there...also watch some of the real estate shows on diy network or hgtv network..they are very informative....you might change your mind when you see what these realtors have to go thru...You can make a great living at it...whatever you do DONT GET CARLTON SHEETS anything...it is totally outdated and a scam...I know I just won a battle when he started pulling out money in my account that was bogus....and his course will teach you how to live from a bank and never have any real things you can call your own. learn from the best first in the field you want to go into..and you will be on your way to a great career...my ADVISE to you is to make sure you have some money coming in somewhere else until you can get established...the market is very flexable and could cause you not to have a sale for months at a time...hope it helps. |

You need to take a licensing course. Then you will go to a testing center and take your test. Call a local broker. They can name some good schools in your area. Sometimes if you promise to work with that particular broker they will pay for your schooling. It is only a few month course. I took mine at night two days a week. Good luck. I wish I would have done it right out of high school. |
