honestly, with your first place, it's easy to want to run out and furnish it with anything and everything you can think of, but that's just not the reality you'll be dealing with. aside from a bed, toilet paper, and cleaning supplies, the rest will come in time. your main focus should be your budget:

rent
electric $100 (to be safe)
phone $50
cable $50

everything else will fall into place as you go... CONGRATS!

first things first, a bed, dishes or paper plates, utensils, toilet paper, pots and pans chairs to sit either a cell or regular phone maybe a tv or radio and this is just to start.you got to crawl before you can walk that it slow don't try to get everything a one time good luck you might have a little house warming if you have good friends they would all bring you something like a toaster or blender or get together and get you a microwave

if you are moving out of your parents place, take as much toilet paper as you can.
If its your first apartment your going to need some cheap furniture, goodwills are always good. Cleaning stuff is a must, the dollar store actualy has some pretty good things. Dishes and cups are also an easy get at the dollar store, or goodwill.

A bed and a shower. Seriously, I still remember my first unfurnished apartment. When I agreed to rent, it was occupied and therefore looked quite homey. When I went to move in, I saw bare walls broken up only by bare windows. I immediately went over to the nearest furniture store and bought a bed, then came home and covered the windows with old newspapers for the first night. That evening I went to a local auction and bought a chair for 10 cents. Ah, History! Especially our own!

You are going to need a lot of little things, things that you take for granted when at home, like toasters, microwaves, bath towels, kitchen table set, silverware, plates, etc. Best thought: Go to yard sales and second hand stores at first, you can get things really reasonably and move up from there, replacing things with new stuff when you get on your feet and have enough money to work with. It is tough when you first move out to just pay bills, so I pray you buy things in moderation and not get over your head too quickly. Best wishes and prayers =)

Money. Lots of it. The rest is just details. You'll figure out what you need to buy on a daily basis as you go along.
