Call the police and have them removed. Or threaten them with that and maybe they will leave. Or just change the locks while they are out, pack their stuff and put it outside and if you feel bad give them a little money to get a hotel for the night. |

I am not a lawyer, but all states you are required to house and feed a minor up to age xx. Each state age is different. If they are grown (over 21) and the home is legally in your name then your can give them a moveout date or kick them out. They may retaliate or try to get back in. So change the locks and such. I would think if they bother you or come onto "your property" you can call the police and have them warned or arrested for trespassing. I'm sorry to see this happen to families but I believe it is "tough love" to get the younger generation to take some responsibilities in their life. Please think this over because you may not want the consequences of your action such that they may never speak to you again or someone may get sued or even emotionally or physically hurt during this process. |

Try being a better parent..
Seriously, though, why are you making your kids pay rent? You sound like a total control-freak. |

Why do they have to pay rent? I can understand maybe helping out with the bills. If they refuse, then you can kick them out. They're not tenants of yours, nor have they signed a rental or lease aggrement with you, so I don't think the eviction process is in order. Your best bet is to contact the police and they can tell you the local laws concerning this, and what you can and can't do. Best of luck to you |

I just got a 25 year old out. It was to comfortable at home to leave before now. If no rent, try to make things uncomfortable and with luck - they will leave on their own! |

What I would do depending on the situation about the rent amout, is just ask them to contribute to a utility bill, and food. Maybe the kids might be willing to at least do something to help out. |
