when you contract to do any building on yr home, or if someone is building a building, they must first go to the building dept, fill out a permit application, when the permit is ok'd, you can build, when yr thru building, you must call the building inspector so that he may look your finished building over and see that you built to code and built what you said you were going to build....then you have passed yr permit, and yr finished.. |

there are alot of different kinds...electrical, plumbing.etc.etc. they make sure every thing in the buolding is up to code and if it is not than it doesnt open, or people do not move in, they can come in and close down places for haveing bad wires, bad plumbing, not clean areas where food is(health inspector) |
