Default happens after you miss a payment(s) on your loan. With your mortgage, this could be as early as 30 days past due. Try to catch back up on that payment! Call your mortgage company and tell them your situation - they are only willing to help you out if you take initiative to contact them. They may be willing to make special payment arrangements to get you back on track. Good luck. |

a notice of default is a recorded document which states to the homeowner they are in breach of terms of the loan and unless remedied they will take further action next step notice of trustee sale after that sheriff comes a knocking if you or whomever has just gotten notice of default it means that you haven't paid mortgage in about three month .call the lender and see if you can modify don't let them scare you if worried get a mod attorney but that will cost about the same amount of money that you owe the lender now so try to make payments in the rears and make the next mortgage payment on time if you can(forbearance clause) good luck |
