Money! Believe me I'm in the same boat. We're relocating to another town, because my husband got a new job. It's been hell going through the process. I wish you good luck. Just make sure you have good credit and money. Even though they tell you that you can get a "no money down" loan...it's SUPER tough in this market. AND...I'm really starting to believe that "first time buyer" programs are make believe...lol. Because I sure haven't found one that will help me. If you find out, I'd love to hear from you. |

A decent credit rating, a steady job, about $5,000.00 for closing costs and patience to find the right place you want.
Hope this helps. |

Well, good credit, a long work history (i.e. if you have worked at your current job for 3 months, it may be hard to get a loan), and previous loans for other things like cars, etc, will help as well, as long as you made timely payments on them. I'm 22 and recently bought a house in Indiana. :)
Start by going to a bank and getting preapproved to see how much you can spend, roughly. Then find a realtor and start shopping! 8)
Good luck! |

Some of my thoughts
1. Do some budgeting/finance calculation to come up with a budget range for your new house. Many financial websites, allow you to calculate that.
2.. Increase your saving so that you can put a downpayment for the house
3. Find a realtor, can discuss the type of house, location etc
4. Realtor, will start showing you the houses, Once you like and close on the house now comes the finance part.
5. Apply for mortgage/home lone.
6. Get Home inspection done
7. Registration, Insurance and close |

Basics: A decent deal of personal money, ability to pay off morgage and good relations with creditors. The last two you have to have unless you have all the cash you need at hand. |

i was an appraiser for about 15 years my advice is go to a mortgage company and get prequalified. they will let u what u can afford and all about their end of that kind of deal. next find a GOOD realtor. they will be your lifeline. find someone you like and trust. these two people will answer all your questions and give you all of the advice you need. good luck |

You could start by seeing if your community had a first time home buyer seminar. If not then I would check either with your banker or your realtor. I would recommend the first time buyer classes that first help you set and keep a budget and then help you go through the process of deciding what your housing needs are. |

It doesn't take much to buy the home. It's after you get it that's the trouble. Maintaining a home can be very expensive. Not to mention the bill that come with it every month. Mortgage, Taxes, Gas, Hydro, ect. Just make sure you do all your research before buying. Here's a good web page.

you need some money as a down payment it all depends on the percentage that they ask , you best to ask someone at the bank for the proper answers, it all depends on your job too , the more you make the better you stand a chance for the bank to give you a loan and a Mortgage.

you have a pay a huge down payment and then the first mortgage will be more expensive than the others and you'll probably pay for like 30 years or something.
Well depends the size but thats pretty much it.
and you dont have to have that much of a good credit but it'd help, alot. |
