It probably means the house shares a wall with another house. Row houses and villas are like this. They're totally separate homes, with their own systems, owned by different people, but the center wall is shared by both homes. They're common in some parts of the country, but rare in others. Detached means there's no other house attached to it.
Unless they're talking about garages. An attached garage is under the same roof as the house, or otherwise connected to the house. A detached garage isn't. |

I'm assuming this is in ADDITION to the listing you are looking at, meaning there is literally a single family home attached to the other home. Door connecting both? Detached would mean there is another single family home on the same property but is not attached to the other home. Hope I was some help! |

Attached means it's like a duplex or a townhouse. A single family can live in the dwelling and there is a single family home attached to it as well.
Detached means it's just a regular house. Not a duplex or townhouse. Meant for one family to live in. |

attached means its a duplex, 2 single family homes attached together. Detached means a single family home not attached to another, you would have a yard all the way around. Personally I don't like attached but they are probably less expensive. |

Detached house is not touching another house. Attached house would touch 2 houses one at both sides, it would be in the middle of three. Semi Detached house would touch one house and would either be at the start or end of a row of houses. |
