It will ruin your rental history and your credit ( Trust me Ive been there ) and on top of that they will add on as many fees as they want so you will end up paying a lot more . Not a good idea , if you cant pay then you need to first try and get assistance , call local churches for assistance ( one church paid all our bills and rent for one month ) , if you can get assistance than you need to talk to your landlord about giving you a little time to pay your rent !!
By the way did you put a deposit down on the place ??? You will lose that deposit if you dont pay. |

They can take it from your deposit and if your deposit isn't enough to cover the rent and damage they can sue you and garnish your wages and attach your property. |

If you left a security deposit behind , that will cover the last months rent ... unless you tore up the apartment and the owner needs to come after you for money for repairs. |

The landlord may take you to small claims court or they will keep your deposit. As others have stated it may very well become part of your credit history. You definitely won't get a good referral if you don't settle your debt with them. |
