You could be in breach of your tenancy agreement and if so the landlord would be able to give you notice to quit. The house could also be considered over crowded and the landlord can get in trouble for allowing it.

It depends how your lease is worded. If it's a house of multiple occupancy, each person or group has its own agreement. It might be that 2 people are effectively squatting. Most leases are of the type where a "responsible person" signs a lease for a property. They undertake to maintain the property and return it in good order when they leave. The number of people living in the property is immaterial, unless the number becomes detrimental to the condition of the property. A few leases may stipulate how many people may or will live at the property. Then you may be breaching the terms.
