I rented a lot to live in a mob. home while building my home. The landlord got mad at me for fix and repair letters and refused my rent check. Then said I was late and would evict. He wrote evicion letters, refused to cash my checks, I took him to court and won. Then I burned his house down. |

I rented a home in the beginning of the fall a couple of years ago....and the heat went out....the landlord had to be pressed hard to fix it...we almost took him to court! We almost froze solid...thank goodness for the fireplace(it was expensive though!). |

I lived in the 3 bedroom basement appartment of an old victorian house that had been moved to it's current location in the 60's, and the basement built as foundation for the house. It had been barely maintained over the years, steps were missing or broken, toilet over flowed and went through the floor/ceiling into the living room and the heat went out mid winter for a month an a half and a bunch of other stuff was wrong too. I left owing them over $1500 back rent, which i never paid, and they never sued because they know they were in serious violation of many, many codes and they would'nt be allowed to rent that place out anymore. |

I rented a historic house and it was...interesting. The power would sporadically go out because it was not wired correctly when they installed power. This would require venturing into a dark alley and flipping the fuse switches. The Landlord did absolutely nothing to correct this situation, despite months of telling him.
When I moved in, they hadn't replaced the fridge, so I was eating out of a cooler for about 2 weeks...
There were maintenance issues up the wazoo and the Landlord was completely unresponsive. |

The landlord would never fix anything so when the bathroom flooded, it left about a foot of water throughout the house and ruined all of my belongings. and then i gave him a months notice to move out refused to give back my cleaning deposit and security deposit so i took him to court and won and i got both plus interest. |
